It’s nearing the end of 2020 but we, put simply, are still facing travel restrictions in the middle of a global pandemic.
I don’t know about you, but my family had plans this year. We were due to go to Barcelona in April. In this book, you will find 32 illustrations and 26 chapters about the city, its culture and famous artists, and of course food. There’s a focus on the Catalan language with some amusing and fascinating expressions, illustrated with a touch of humour. You’ll learn about human towers.

About the Creators of the Travel with Pencil! Books
Like all good stories, this one also involves travel.
Alina Ozerova is the author and designer of this travel book series. Nine years ago she landed in Amsterdam, looking forward to reinventing herself in a new field – contemporary art. She graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy of Art & Design in Amsterdam. Leaving behind a stable job in marketing research was a tough decision to make, but there are no regrets. She has been living in Amsterdam ever since! Her love of this beautiful city is the reason that it’s the backdrop for the first book of the Travel with Pencils! series.
Katya Belova is the illustrator of both ‘What Colour is Amsterdam?’ and ‘What Colour is Barcelona?’. She graduated from the Architectural Institute and currently lives in Moscow.
