It took fourteen years of living in the Netherlands before I finally went to see the Panorama Mesdag in The Hague. Don’t make the same mistake! If you are in the area, go visit!
The Panorama Mesdag is a painting of the 360-degree view of sea, dunes and the fishing village of Scheveningen – but as it was in 1881. It’s worth a visit for sure!

Such a gorgeous painting and intriguing too. I clicked through to the link and read about it. What an incredible piece of art! My son is going to the Hague next Saturday for a week with MUN (Model United Nations) so I wonder if he might get to see this…though galleries won't probably be high in his priorities when he gets time off from serious debating. I'll certainly suggest it to him though.
